"Mardi Gras Masquerade Party"

This year’s gala will surely bring a unique twist to the traditional reunion banquets of the past. We are going to celebrate with Creole style festivities combining a spread of traditional down home cooking and signature Creole dishes.   We encourage every family member and guest to “Wear All White.” Traditional Mardi Gras novelties will be distributed during the gala. There will also be a Mask or Costume contest. The 1st place prize winner will receive a $25.00 American Express debit card. So don’t forget to bring your mask!!!

Celebrating with Memories

To celebrate forty-four years of continuing this annual event; Saturday’s gala will include fun and entertainment honoring music, fashion and flashbacks from the 1970’s to the present. There will be a special tribute in remembrance of our beloved family members who have moved on to glory. Lastly, we will open the floor for open mic; where family members or guest who desires to toot their own horn by displaying their own natural talent. Souvenir booklets will be available at the gala. So please send pictures prior to the reunion! No additional photos will be accepted during the reunion activities.

Photography

We will take a group picture at both Winton Woods National Park and during the banquet. There will also be a red carpet event/photo booth where genealogy photos of each family branch members represented (great grandchildren, grandchildren, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, great grandparents) organized by row. A photographer will be on sight to print digitized pictures during the reunion for a minimal fee. Also, a link to download the pictures will be emailed after the reunion to everyone who has registered their email. Please make sure you are included on the list!

Music & Entertainment

Other than some fun activities designed to acquaint family members with each other we plan to have a sound system available during the picnic; which can play music from connected iPhones. Also, a DJ will be delighting us with a mix of old school and new school music. Dancing is optional.

Calling All Graduates

Whether you are a newly graduate from high school, college, or a university; we want to celebrate you. As part of our awards and recognitions portion of the banquet; we would like to honor only current year graduates. Enclosed in this packet you will find a slip of paper to complete and return with your reunion registration. Please note we will only bring recognition to those who have obtained a diploma, degree or honorary awards or association from last year’s reunion June 31, 2014 – July 5, 2015.
